Install Instructions

Product installation

Installation of this product would be rated a 3 out of 5. 1 being extremely easy and 5 being extremely difficult. It is recommended prior to installing any automotive electronics that the negative battery terminal be disconnected.

1. Remove the dash top speaker grille (retaining clips) then the two exposed screws.
2. Remove the dash top tray (retaining clips).
3. Remove the two screws at the top of the instrument panel bezel then pry the panel from the dash (retaining clips).
4. Remove the four screws which hold the 8-inch Sync 3 display to the dash.
5. Remove the Sync "APIM" module from the rear of the display (three screws) and replace it with the Sync 4 module included with the kit.
6. Install the plug & play wire harness in-between the Sync "APIM" module and the factory Sync "APIM" plug. Done!

This upgrade requires a core! Upon successful installation, we ask that the buyer send the removed factory part(s) to Infotainment as a core. A shipping label will be provided.
Over-the-air updates are currently not available when upgrading from Sync 3 to Sync 4.
Pre-programmed to function with your vehicle's factory installed SiriusXM® satellite radio. If your vehicle is not equipped with SiriusXM the AM & FM radio presets cannot be saved within the Sync 4 system.
