Things to Know

Upgrading to Sync 4 means you’ll lose SiriusXM satellite radio, if your vehicle was equipped with it. Plus, radio presets will take a backseat, as the AM/FM tuner doesn’t support Sync 4’s mixed mode feature. But don’t worry: explore our SiriusXM X65 Upgrade to retain SiriusXM satellite radio and experience Sync 4’s fabulous SiriusXM enhancements and the incredible new mixed mode presets!
Although all orders will ship pre-loaded with the latest available updates, future Sync 4 updates can not be obtained via over-the-air or wifi. Rather, they can only be updated at Ford or an Infotainment facility.
FordPass (if equipped) will retain full functionality unless the owner performs a "Master Reset." The owner will have to reinstall the original Sync 3 system to repeat the FordPass Activation.
