Product installation

Installation of this product would be rated a 3 out of 5. 1 being extremely easy and 5 being extremely difficult. It is recommended prior to installing any automotive electronics that the negative battery terminal be disconnected.

This upgrade involves the following procedures:

Remove the dash bezel surrounding your 8-inch display
Remove the lower climate control / center stack
Install Infotainment.com plug & play wiring
Install new replacement 12-inch display
Install new replacement Sync 4 / APIM module
Install new LVDS video cable from Sync 4 module to 12-inch display
Transfer audio controls onto new center stack trim

When upgrading from the 8-inch to the 12-inch display you will be sent an extra blank switch to be installed on the right-side of the upper display bezel. This is needed as most vehicles equipped with the 8-inch display have only 2 switches, all 12-inch displays are equipped with 3 switches.
