Ensure your vehicle has the IOS option code and an SD media card slot. You can find this by scanning your QR Code on the inside of your driver's side door with your phone. If you do not have an SD card slot then we will include a replacement MCR (Memory Card Reader) that you can swap so this upgrade will be fully compatible with the included Genuine GM navigation SD map card.
This system contains integrated mapping which provides full coverage for: USA, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Mexico, and Canada.

Product installation

Installation of this product would be rated a 1 out of 5. 1 being extremely easy and 5 being extremely difficult. Simply turn the vehicle to the run position. Insert the SD map card into the SD card slot on your vehicle's media hub. Insert the OBDGenie programmer into the OBDII port located below the steering column. The programming process will take 1-2 minutes. Once the green light on the programmer is lit and the radio reboots you may take it out and stow it away. That's it!

Things to Know

2019 model year vehicles (only) must have a software build earlier than V805. To find your software build select "Settings" then "About." If your 2019 vehicle's infotainment software build is V805 or above (V807, V808, etc) then we would suggest for the customer to replace their existing HMI module to obtain GPS navigation.
