Installation of this product would be rated a 2 out of 5. 1 being extremely easy and 5 being extremely difficult. It is recommended prior to installing any automotive electronics that the negative battery terminal be disconnected.

Things To Know

  • Wranglers with the base model 5-inch UAA system will lose their volume knob when upgrading to the 7-inch or 8.4-inch system. If you would like to retain a volume knob meanwhile gaining digital automatic temperature control see our Jeep Climate Control Kit. Otherwise, your factory installed audio controls on your steering wheel will allow the adjustment of the volume.
  • Pre-programmed to function with your vehicle’s existing roll bar mounted Sirius® satellite radio antenna. If you would like to add SiriusXM satellite radio capability to your vehicle check out our plug & play SiriusXM Satellite Radio Antenna Kit.
  • Please note that if you’re upgrading from the base model 5-inch UAA (non-SiriusXM capable system) in order to retain the compass feature you must install the antenna above. Otherwise, our GPS Antenna would be required to retain your compass.
  • Pre-programmed to function with your vehicle’s existing steering wheel mounted audio controls.
  • If you would like to add Sirius® Travel Link and Sirius® Traffic to the UAQ, simply purchase our OBD Genie C-STL Programmer. (Subscription with SiriusXM required)

  • The secondary USB hub located in the center console/arm rest in some rare cases may not allow Carplay function. To use Carplay, it is recommended to always use the USB media hub located on the dash behind the ‘Media’ cover.
  • Those who upgrade to the Uconnect 4 UAQ system will not be able to subscribe to the Sirius Guardian® feature. This feature is only available for vehicles equipped with the UAQ from the factory.

    Wonderful screen and easy to install if you use the videos from Infotainment. The screen offers more features than I expected. I wanted it to get Sirus Radio and get navigation for off roading. Purchased this screen with the antenna to use it with those services. I purchased it to upgrade the radio and screen from the factory.

    Very happy with the unit itself. Not happy that one of the aluminum ears that the bezel secures to was broken off during shipping. I thought the hassle of sending it back was too much. The bezel sticks out slightly (maybe 1-2mm) on the top left where it has nothing to lock into.

    Definitely worth it to upgrade. The install went as easy as the video displayed with no catches. I was up and running within 45 minutes,, including set up with XM radio. My only complaint is that their is no mute button. All in all a great product!

    Infotainment has great pricing, and made it easy to purchase what I was looking for. Mopar always keeps it simple to do factory upgrades, so this head-unit worked perfectly for my 2019 Wrangler JL.

    I wish I would have purchased the SiriusXM Satellite antenna with the radio instead of the GPS antenna, because the GPS antenna doesn’t seem to work well with the UAG (7" Radio) head-unit. My compass would work for a couple minutes and then stop displaying a direction. Infotainment suggested that I give it a day or two to self calibrate, but it didn’t seem to want to work well. So I suggest you just get the SiriusXM antenna when you get your radio upgrade.

    Other than that it was a great experience, and I have no issues with the head-unit or my SiriusXM antenna!

    Really like the radio and the turnaround time from ordering to delivery was much faster than I expected, which was great. Installation was truly plug and play. Aside from my next comment, installation would have been less than 30 minutes. So…… here’s the only issue I had. No Instructions were furnished. I watched a YouTube video that we were referred to on the website for installation. Which was a very good video, if all went well. Once installed, the steering wheel controls didn’t work. Went back to the Infotainment website and did some research and was instructed to do a reset that involved disconnecting the battery. Well, 2018 Jeep Wrangler, with ESS, has two batteries. Doing the reset I fried a high capacity (150amp) fuse. Which slowly died as I drove down the street causing the car to die on me and everything go out. After getting the Jeep towed back to the house, I went back and did more research on the website and found another link to a blog that said – if you have an ESS system, DO NOT do the reset. Had to watch another YouTube Video on how to remove and replace that bank of fuses. Car was down all weekend and the following Monday and Tuesday as I waited for the dealer to get the part. $85 later, we were back up and running and all works well. With all that said – I really think that a set of instructions should have been provided or some sort of coordinated set of direction on the website. So do your research before installing the unit, especially if you have a dual battery system. This is the second time I purchase something from Infotainment and aside from this little issue, I have NEVER had had any issues with the unit, programming and or support. I will not hesitate to purchase future products from Infotainment or recommend their products.

    This is literally a plug and play upgrade installation.
    After reviewing the Youtube video and buying a plastic dashboard molding tool, it took me 25 minutes to remove and replace on my 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL. Since it was programmed for the VIN, all features worked automatically and as advertised. Although other vendors may have less expensive options, it would require me to have it professionally installed. So I know I made out on the overall cost.

    More importantly, dealing with infotainment.com was spectacular. Nick was extremely knowledgeable of the product and the process, and reassured me every step of the way. The radio showed up a week earlier than expected. I have nothing negative to say. The whole experience was simply tremendous.

    I love Android Auto, but I found a good deal on a JLU Sport, and I was so happy to find an upgrade that is the same as OEM for clean integration. I also bought the HVAC module, and was a little nervous about the reprogramming step, but it went flawlessly! Very happy with my upgrade!

          Lost / Missing / Stolen Shipments

          Infotainment.com is not responsible or liable for lost, missing, or stolen shipments.               • Verify the shipping address used within checkout to ensure it is correct
              • Look for a notice of attempted delivery
              • Look around the delivery location for your package. Many times carriers will place the package in a location that isn’t typical, ie. behind the fence, by the garage, near the mailbox, etc. 
              • See if someone else accepted the delivery such as a family member or neighbor. In recent past, customers have found the package mixed with other family member’s packages inside their home several days after delivery.

          For missing UPS/FedEx shipped packages:

              • A UPS1-800-742-5877 or FedEx1-800-463-3339 trace investigation must be initiated as soon as possible. This process takes up to 8 business days to be completed.

          For missing USPS packages:

              • A US Postal Service 1-800-222-1811 trace investigation must be initiated as soon as possible. Many times USPS will suggest that it will take an extra 7 business days after the expected date of delivery to locate the package.

          For missing packages that have been shipped to an APO/FPO:

              • Please note that the Military Postal Service Agency does not consider a package to be lost until 60 days after the date of mailing. If the customer still has not received their package after 60 days then please contact customer service to assist you in filing a missing package inquiry with the MPSA. Once the inquiry is received, the MPSA will be in contact to positively identify the owner and ship the item to the recipient should it be found.

          In the event a lost or missing package is not recovered within 14-days (domestic shipments) or 30-days (international shipments) a police report may be required at the discretion of the customer support manager. All part numbers and/or serial numbers are recorded prior to shipping, this vital information will assist the police with the investigation. Depending solely on the circumstances, the customer support manager may opt to release another identical shipment requiring a direct signature of the original buyer.
