2013-2018 Ram Heavy Duty UConnect 4 UAG 7-inch Display with Apple CarPlay® / Android Auto® a 3 out of 5. 1 being extremely easy and 5 being extremely difficult. It is recommended prior to installing any automotive electronics that the negative battery terminal be disconnected.

Type 1 - In this scenario you have a factory installed 8.4-inch (RA3) or 8.4-inch (RA4) radio in your truck.

Remove the instrument panel that surrounds your factory radio.
Remove your factory installed 8.4-inch radio and install the included pre-programmed 7-inch UAG radio.
Reassemble the instrument panel to the dash.
Remove your USB media hub located within your armrest and install the included replacement USB media hub assembly.

Type 2 - In this scenario you have a factory installed base-model 3-inch (RA1) or 5-inch (RA2) radio in your truck.

Remove the instrument panel that surrounds your factory radio.
Remove your factory installed base-model radio and install the included pre-programmed 7-inch UAG radio.
Install the HVAC module to the pre-determined location on the right side of the dash. Route the wiring to the climate control cavity.
Install the resistor into the bottom of the HVAC blower. Connect the harness to the resistor and mate it to the HVAC module wiring.
Remove and replace the factory radio bezel that is attached to the instrument panel. Plug the HVAC module wiring into the new bezel.
Reassemble the instrument panel to the dash.
Remove your USB media hub located within your armrest and install the included replacement USB media hub assembly.
Turn the vehicle to the "ON" position and insert the OBD Genie programmer into the OBD port located under the steering column. When the light illuminates green remove the programmer and stow it away. *If the vehicle is a 2018 or newer, temporarily install the included security gateway module bypass behind the radio cavity prior to using the OBD Genie programmer*

Things to Know

Attention: Please allow up to 48 hours to acclimate to the vehicle fully. Some features may not be available at first. Leaving the vehicle turned off speeds this process!
If your truck is a 2013-2014 and currently features heated seats, ventilated seats, and/or heated steering wheel you will need an extra module to retain those features. See our 4C Retrofit Interface.
Ram Trucks currently equipped with steering wheel mounted audio controls and/or voice recognition & phone buttons will need to use the buttons located on the radio display and instrument panel bezel when upgrading to the UAG Infotainment system.
Customers who are currently subscribed to the paid subscription of UConnect Access® will forfeit this feature by upgrading to the new UConnect 4 system.
