Overview

This revolutionary product by OBDGenie is designed for Infotainment.com customers who currently do not have automatic climate control and are upgrading from the smaller 4.2-inch base radio system to our 8.4-inch RE2 or RB5 infotainment system. This product will enable automatic climate control on your radio display and on the newly installed climate control panel (auto button).

Please note: After programming there is a 30% chance you will also need to replace your climate control module. Scroll to 7:53 on this video for more details.

Product installation

Simply install our 8.4-inch infotainment system upgrade then plug this Genie programmer into your vehicle's OBDII port (under your steering column). Once the programmer illuminates the green LED the programmer has enabled the AUTO feature within the vehicle's primary BCM/computer. Please note, you may need to turn the vehicle off after the programming is complete to let the vehicle's computer sleep (3-5 minutes) before the screen will reflect the AUTO feature. If the AUTO button still remains greyed out you will need to replace your climate control module.2018+ Dodge Journey vehicles will need to temporarily install a gateway module bypass device.
