Installation of this product would be rated a 2 out of 5. 1 being extremely easy and 5 being extremely difficult. It is recommended prior to installing any automotive electronics that the negative battery terminal be disconnected.

A. If your software version is 30.00.XXX or higher:

STEP 2 - REPLACE THE USB MEDIA HUB

B. If your software version is 29.99.XXX or lower

Mazda Connect® 

To enjoy the benefits of Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto® with your Mazda, follow these simple steps if your vehicle's radio software is version 29.99.XXX or lower.

1. Download the 31.00.100A update from this link.
2. Unzip the downloaded file on your Windows PC.
3. Prepare a USB Drive:

• Ensure it’s at least 2GB and formatted to FAT32.
• Copy the file named "cmu140_NA_31.00.100A_reinstall.up" to the root of your USB drive.

1. Follow the Installation Video steps above to complete the software update process.
