Things to Know

Attention: Please allow up to 48 hours to acclimate to the vehicle fully. Some features may not be available at first. Leaving the vehicle turned off speeds this process!
This upgrade currently does not have fullscreen Wireless Android Auto. An update is expected to remedy this in the near future.
Ram 8.4-inch and/or 12-inch Infotainment displays may or may not include extra buttons for features like heated seats, steering wheel, etc., depending on Mopar stock. These buttons can be used for future upgrades or discreetly covered with opaque decals or matte black paint.
2019-2021 Ram HD trucks currently equipped with the "XAK - Surround View Camera" (360-camera) feature will require an updated CVPM module. These can be purchased at your local Ram dealer (Part Number 56029967AF) or found online. Once purchased and installed, a local Ram dealer must calibrate the new CVPM module. All trucks equipped with the standard backup camera "XAC" will continue to operate fully plug & play.
Enjoy full screen Wireless Apple CarPlay with the 12" Uconnect 5 upgrade. Please note, Android Auto currently displays in half screen, but an update from UConnect is anticipated to enhance this in the future.
If upgrading from a UConnect 3 or UConnect 4 radio: The "Assist" and "SOS" buttons on the rearview mirror (if equipped) will no longer function, as Uconnect 5 uses an incompatible telematics module.
Make your upgrade even more convenient by adding our Factory OEM Cargo Camera during the radio installation process. To include the cargo camera with your radio upgrade, simply CLICK HERE.
If your Ram is equipped with a manual transmission, please note that engaging the reverse gear will no longer activate the rear backup camera. To access the camera feed, simply press your dedicated camera button.
Pre-programmed to function with your vehicle's existing steering wheel mounted audio controls.
Pre-programmed to function with SiriusXM satellite radio. If you currently do not have factory installed satellite radio we will include an antenna adapter which will plug into the blue colored FAKRA port on the UBQ module which will allow for both SirusXM and GPS signals.
Pre-programmed to function with your vehicle's existing UConnect® bluetooth hands-free calling feature.
2019-2021 Ram HD trucks will not gain Sirius Guardian® or the embedded 4G LTE Hotspot capability as both features require additional hardware and unsupported subscriptions. You will also forfeit Sirius Guardian® when upgrading to this radio if equipped with it before. Although optional, those who are upgrading from an 8.4-inch UAV or 12.0-inch UAX system can purchase our U-INTDUAL-Z adapter to retain the factory installed dual bluetooth & wifi antenna.
FYI - The Uconnect 5 system is not compatible with the factory remote CD player feature.
This upgrade is designed for trucks with or without existing automatic climate controls. If you would like to add this convenient feature install our plug & play Auto Climate Control Kit.
Dynamic gridlines on the backup camera must be manually turned on in the settings each time the vehicle is started.
