Installation of this product would be rated a 2 out of 5. 1 being extremely easy and 5 being extremely difficult. It is recommended prior to installing any automotive electronics that the negative battery terminal be disconnected.

Things to Know
  • Although all orders will ship pre-loaded with the latest available updates, future Sync 4 updates can not be obtained via over-the-air or wifi. Rather, they can only be updated at Ford or an Infotainment facility.
  • FordPass (if equipped) will retain full functionality unless the owner performs a "Master Reset." The owner will have to reinstall the original Sync 3 system to repeat the FordPass Activation.
  • For 8" applications, the rear climate can only be controlled by the climate controls located at the back of the center console.
  • Full Wireless Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™ support.
  • Pre-programmed to function with your vehicle's factory installed SiriusXM® satellite radio.
  • Pre-programmed to function with your vehicle's existing steering wheel mounted audio controls.
  • Pre-programmed to function with your vehicle's existing back-up rear view camera or 360-degree surround view camera.
  • Pre-programmed to function with your vehicle's existing Sync® bluetooth hands-free calling feature. Simply pair your phone to the new system.
