This upgrade is 100% fully plug & play and will operate like it would be from the factory, option code "GRG." Simply remove & replace your interior rear view mirror, your third brake lamp, and install our plug & play video cable.

*Vehicle must be currently equipped with an auto-dim rear view mirror. If your truck features a manual adjustable mirror, (2) mirror covers and header wiring will be required (sold separately) see below.

Installation of this product would be rated a 3 out of 5. 1 being extremely easy and 5 being extremely difficult. It is recommended prior to installing any automotive electronics that the negative battery terminal be disconnected.

Q: Is this upgrade compatible with 2019-2020 Ram models?
A: No. This upgrade is not compatible with 2019-2020 Ram models because the factory Body Control Module (BCM) does not support this feature. Our engineering team is actively developing an alternative solution for these model years.

Q: Will I retain Automatic High Beam functionality after installation?
A: If your vehicle's Automatic High Beam feature is integrated into the factory rearview mirror, it will not be retained with this upgrade. Manual high beam operation will continue to function normally.

Q: Do 2021-2024 Ram Heavy Duty owners need any additional parts?
A: Yes. Vehicles upgrading to a digital rearview mirror require a special-order mirror variant based on their cargo camera configuration.

Q: Which mirror part number do I need if I have an analog cargo camera?
A: If your vehicle is equipped with or is being upgraded to a factory analog cargo camera, you will need mirror variant 68465999AB.

Q: Which mirror part number do I need if I have a digital cargo camera?
A: If your vehicle is equipped with or is being upgraded to a factory digital cargo camera, you will need mirror variant 68465998AA.

Q: Is the cargo camera feature available on 2021-2024 Ram 1500 DT models?
A: No. The cargo camera feature is not available for 2021-2024 Ram 1500 DT vehicles.

Q: What cameras are included with this kit?
A: This kit includes a third brake light assembly equipped with both a rear-facing camera for the digital rearview mirror and a cargo-facing camera position to support vehicles equipped with a cargo camera.

Q: What if my vehicle does not currently have a cargo camera?
A: If you would like to add cargo camera functionality, we recommend purchasing our 2019-2024 Ram Heavy Duty Factory CHMSL Third Brake LED Light Cargo Camera Kit. This option is available for Heavy Duty vehicles only.
