Overview

Your Durango Shouldn't Feel Like a Furnace

Every summer, the same thing happens. You walk out to your Durango after a long day, grab the door handle, and instantly regret it. The cabin is a sweltering greenhouse. The leather seats are scorching to the touch. The steering wheel might as well have been sitting on the surface of the sun. You drop into the seat, crank the A/C, and sweat through the first ten minutes of your drive while the massive Durango cabin slowly—painfully slowly—cools down.

And it doesn't stop there. The Uconnect screen lags behind, sluggish from the heat. The climate control is maxed out, straining to keep up. By the time you're finally comfortable, you've already arrived.

The Bigger the SUV, the Worse the Heat

The Durango's generous interior is one of its best features—until summer hits. That large cabin traps heat like a greenhouse, and without a head start, your A/C is playing catch-up the entire ride. Dark leather and interior trim absorb and hold that heat, turning every surface into a burn risk for passengers, kids, and pets alike. The longer the car sits in the sun, the worse it gets—and there's no shortcut to comfortable without remote start.

The Factory OEM Fix You've Been Waiting For

This is the Infotainment.com exclusive factory OEM Mopar remote start upgrade for the 2014+ Dodge Durango—and it's the clean, dealer-quality solution that makes the summer struggle disappear.

Using your existing RKE key fob, you can start your Durango's engine from up to 300 feet (91 meters) away, giving it the time it needs to pre-cool the cabin before you ever open the door. No aftermarket headaches. No voided warranties. Just a seamless, plug-and-play OEM upgrade that works exactly the way Mopar intended.

What Remote Start Does for Your Durango

  • Pre-cools the cabin before you step inside, eliminating the greenhouse effect entirely
  • Protects your leather seats and steering wheel from extreme surface temperatures
  • Activates climate control automatically, so the A/C starts working the moment the engine does
  • Reduces A/C strain by giving the system time to cool the cabin gradually, not at maximum capacity
  • Allows the Uconnect system to stabilize before you get in, so your infotainment is ready to go
  • Enables optional heated/ventilated seats and heated steering wheel activation based on outside and interior temperatures
  • Maintains full vehicle security—the vehicle must be locked, hood and tailgate closed, and transmission in Park before remote start activates

What's Included in the Kit

Your kit includes the security gateway module bypass and the OBD Genie C-XBM programmer, which enables the "XBM: Remote Start" option code within the Durango's body control module. A local Dodge dealer will be required to program the replacement RF hub and two new keys.

Things to Know

Q: What happens to my old keys after removing the RF hub?
A: Once the old RF hub is removed, your existing keys will no longer function. They are programmed specifically to that RF hub, so a full re-program to the new hub is required.

Q: Will my Durango still start after the RF hub is removed?
A: No. The vehicle will be inoperable until new keys are programmed to the new RF hub by a locksmith or dealer.

Q: When should I remove the factory RF hub?
A: Keep the factory RF hub connected until a locksmith or dealer is available to program the new keys to the new RF hub. Don't remove it prematurely.

Q: What is the safest installation approach for RF hub replacement?
A: Leave the original RF hub installed and wired in place until the new key fobs are fully programmed by a qualified locksmith or dealer. This prevents any period where the vehicle is inoperable.
