This Infotainment.com exclusive factory OEM Mopar F-Series remote start option is now available for all 2011 - 2016 SuperDuty trucks. Remote start conveniently starts the engine from outside the vehicle while maintaining security. The system has a targeted range of at least 91 m (300 ft). The vehicle must be locked, the tailgate and hood closed and the transmission in Park in order to start the engine using the Remote Start button on the key fob.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS UPGRADE:

  • At least 2 keys that start your truck
  • A complete and submitted Vehicle Proof of Ownership Form.
  • Keyless Entry
  • Hood pin (Part # BC3Z-14018-A) as seen below

A: Yes. After using the OBD Genie programmer, a drive cycle of approximately 15 minutes may be required for all onboard modules to fully recognize and apply the Remote Start configuration.

A: The drive cycle helps complete communication between modules and ensures the Remote Start feature is properly initialized.

Q: What should I do after completing the drive cycle?
A: Once the drive cycle is complete, re-test the Remote Start feature to confirm proper operation.

Q: When will Remote Start not function after programming?
A: Remote Start may not function under the following conditions:

  • The ignition is on
  • The alarm system is triggered
  • The feature has been disabled
  • The hood is open
  • The transmission is not in Park (P)
  • Vehicle battery voltage is too low
  • The “Service Engine Soon” light is on
