how to use Android auto

Introduction

Hey, guys. This is Simone here from Infotainment. I work in the support department, and we get a lot of questions in regards to the Apple CarPay and Android Auto. This time we’re going to show you how you can access your Android Auto with using your Panasonic radio. In this case, we are in a Jeep Grand Cherokee using a UAB radio.

Connecting Your Phone

The very first thing that you want to do is connect your phone to your radio. But the only way you can access your Android Auto is through connecting it using the USB cable. We’re going to connect the phone to the USB cable and the radio is going to prompt you for Android Auto. Your radio is now telling you to follow the instructions on your mobile device, and you’re going to continue setting it up through your phone. Let’s go ahead and click Start, get started. You’re going to continue, you’re going to download. Right now, It’s just going to download all the apps needed for the Android Auto to work on your radio. After all of the apps or necessary apps has been updated and download, what you want to do is continue. You’re going to allow.

You’re going to click Continue. Of course, It shows you here all the notification access that you would allow Android Auto to have. After, go ahead. You’re going to allow that. Just a second. You’re going to click Continue. Let’s go ahead and just say no, thank you. You can always go back and adjust your settings as you like. As of right now, your Android Auto device is set up. Give it a moment. It still is paring and syncing up. Okay, now we are fully set up on Android Auto, and as you can see, the screen is blank. If you click here on the left bottom side of the screen, it send you to the home page of Android Auto. Here is where you see your apps, maps, Spotify, play music, your phone. You’ll see more, your audible, calendar, news, podcast, reminders, setting, and Weather. Just to show you a few today, you have maps where you can navigate home, of course. Let’s pick a destination, we’ll head to Will Pubs. Okay, that’s eight minutes away from here. Isn’t that awesome? In categories, you will see that you have gas station, restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores.

Those be your point of interest when using the Google Maps off of your Android Auto. Then, of course, you have your personal, you can label, and, of course, add your favorites and want to go in context. Click the circle button. Using Spotify, you’re able to see your recent play, you’re able to browse more music, and of course, your library. To go back to the home page, you’re going to always want to click the little circle at the bottom left corner of the screen. If you’re trying to adjust the settings in your Android Auto, once you click Setting on the icon, it is going to prompt you to look on your phone, and you’re going to be able to adjust your settings of the Android Auto with using your phone.
