Product Description

Ford owners with the factory installed 4-inch base radio display or 8-inch radio display now have the ability to upgrade to SiriusXM® satellite radio fully plug & play! We now offer this system with embedded HD Radio for an additional cost.

No-hassle, Plug & Play system. Pre-programmed to your specific vehicle by informing us of your vehicle’s 17-digit VIN. Eligible for our Compatibility Guarantee. 

Product Installation

Installation of this product would be rated a 3 out of 5. 1 being extremely easy and 5 being extremely difficult. It is recommended prior to installing any automotive electronics that the negative battery terminal be disconnected.

Simply remove your vehicle’s CD Player / ACM. Remove the brackets on each side of your vehicle’s CD Player / ACM and install them on the replacement unit. Route the satellite radio antenna to a location on the outside of the vehicle and plug it into the rear of the replacement unit. Start the vehicle and after 30 seconds insert the OBDGenie F-SAT programmer into the vehicle’s OBDII port (under the steering column) and wait for the green light. Remove the OBDGenie programmer and stow away. It’s that easy!

Things To Know

  • This item is being offered as a special order. Please allow for an extended lead time to procure, program, and process your order.
  • 2019 customers will receive a unit that does not have a CD player.
  • Once installed, to access the satellite radio menu on the 4-inch Sync systems simply press Menu, the back button (<), then select SIRIUS.
  • In some cases we’ve had customers install the satellite radio antenna on top of their dash (just beneath the windshield) and have perfect signal. We do not recommend doing this but a viable option for those who deem it fit.
  • HD Radio is an option for all 8-inch displays and 2018+ 4-inch Sync 3 Lite displays, simply select it above prior to adding this upgrade to your cart.  CLICK HERE  for a list of all the available HD Radio stations available in your area.

    I just installed the Ford Cd Xm Radio Upgrade into my 2018 Mustang GT. All I can say is it is great !!! To me the radio sounds better than with the portable unit I was using. I had no trouble with the install or programing. I watched the U Tube installation and followed the steps.
    Next is to save up for the 4" to 8" upgrade.

    I ordered my radio and received it just days later. Upon install, the OBDII programmer would not properly program the vehicle. I contacted the support email (This was a Sunday afternoon), by Monday I received a response, and they decided to send me another programmer.
    Again, this one did not work either, so they called me, and we talked on the phone about what was happening when I inserted the OBDII, and I sent them a video.
    My vehicle is a 2016 and has slightly different programming, so they asked if I would be willing to send my 4" mini-display to them, to program in house. They sent me a shipping label, and I sent it off.
    It returned to me less than a week later, plugged it into the vehicle, and it worked perfectly.
    Could not be happier with the product and service I got from these guys.

However, all orders come with our “Compatibility Guarantee” which reassures customers that what they purchase will be verified and sometimes programmed by a qualified technician for the customer’s exact vehicle. This process may delay the shipment depending on sales volume. If by day five (5) the order hasn’t shipped, the customer will get an email from customer service with an update regarding the status of their order. If a product is considered back-ordered or a special order it will be noted within the product advertisement or by the sales agent. In this case, order fulfillment may take as little as 2 weeks or as many as 6 weeks.

              • Orders are shipped Monday – Friday (excluding holidays)

              • Shipments are not able to be re-directed by the customer after being sent
              • Next Day or Overnight shipping may be available on a case-by-case basis depending on the product and the technician labor that may be required.Not all expedited shipping methods are available to all locations.

Transit time for a order using free shipping can be as much as seven (7) business days (ground economy shipping). Expedited shipping is an option and offered within checkout. Next Day or Overnight shipping is only offered on a case-by-case basis.
           
           

          Canada & International Shipping:

          Infotainment.com packages and ships orders to every continent in the world. Items shipped to Canada or internationally from the U.S.A will incur a shipping fee and applicable duties/taxes which is the sole responsibility of the customer. International shipment transit times range from 3-21 days. 
           
           

          Lost / Missing / Stolen Shipments

          Infotainment.com is not responsible or liable for lost, missing, or stolen shipments. It is recommended that a customer opts for signature confirmation and/or package insurance prior to checkout to help mitigate the liability of losing their shipment. Otherwise, customers are encouraged to monitor the expected delivery date of their order and make arrangements to accept a successful package delivery personally. If the order has been marked as delivered and the package is not found, the customer is encouraged to do their due diligence immediately to locate the missing package. The customer is encouraged to contact Infotainment.com customer service for assistance with his/her investigation.
           

          General:

              • Verify the shipping address used within checkout to ensure it is correct
              • Look for a notice of attempted delivery
              • Look around the delivery location for your package. Many times carriers will place the package in a location that isn’t typical, ie. behind the fence, by the garage, near the mailbox, etc. 
              • See if someone else accepted the delivery such as a family member or neighbor. In recent past, customers have found the package mixed with other family member’s packages inside their home several days after delivery.
           

          For missing UPS/FedEx shipped packages:

              • A UPS1-800-742-5877 or FedEx1-800-463-3339 trace investigation must be initiated as soon as possible. This process takes up to 8 business days to be completed.
           

          For missing USPS packages:

              • A US Postal Service 1-800-222-1811 trace investigation must be initiated as soon as possible. Many times USPS will suggest that it will take an extra 7 business days after the expected date of delivery to locate the package.

          For missing packages that have been shipped to an APO/FPO:

              • Please note that the Military Postal Service Agency does not consider a package to be lost until 60 days after the date of mailing. If the customer still has not received their package after 60 days then please contact customer service to assist you in filing a missing package inquiry with the MPSA. Once the inquiry is received, the MPSA will be in contact to positively identify the owner and ship the item to the recipient should it be found.

          In the event a lost or missing package is not recovered within 14-days (domestic shipments) or 30-days (international shipments) a police report may be required at the discretion of the customer support manager. All part numbers and/or serial numbers are recorded prior to shipping, this vital information will assist the police with the investigation. Depending solely on the circumstances, the customer support manager may opt to release another identical shipment requiring a direct signature of the original buyer.
